The annual meeting for the Research School in Biosystematics – ForBio – is now taking place in Tromsø. ForBio aims to train a new generation of biosystematists to meet the society’s needs for biodiversity expertise and at the same time to strengthen the research in biosystematics in the Nordic countries. To achieve that, they offer a wide range of both practical and theoretical courses in biosystematics and provide a platform for facilitating teaching and research collaboration between Nordic research institutes. From watching a range of highly interesting presentations, it evident that the funding from the Norwegian Research Council and The Norwegian Biodiversity Information Centre has been well spent, and there is hope for a new generation of highly skilled systematicists! Thanks for inviting SponGES to contribute!
